I am trying my best to maintain and stay optimistic with my crazy work schedule. It is almost as my ‘free-mind’ is being transported back to days of fun and frolic. I miss being free and having nothing to be accountable for beyond what comes from my mouth.
Something about living from the seat of my pants (or at least the pockets or contents of pockets) that has left me filled with enough reflection to cast a youth into a daze of story telling. Beyond thinking of Wockets in My Pockets and the Nookcase in my Bookcase, I think of America:
I wish I could find more of the German performance featured here. Alas, I can not. There is a clip of ‘Ventura Highway’ that is listed on YouTube from the same performance but it does not view all the way and so I offer you this live performance of one of my favourite America songs:
There is, of course, the standard of “A Horse With No Name” which was featured on the essential 60’s compilation called ‘Freedom Rock’. I tend to stray from such fan fare and walk into the realm of the oldies radio station standard of “Lonely People”. Something about the piano and the harmonica touches my soul:
These guys all look like the geeky guys that I used to play Dungeons and Dragons with. This may be why I love them beyond their flavored acoustic delectability. Here is a great live performance of their hit “Sister Golden Hair Surprise” which used to rock my world and make me think fondly of lost days sitting around a patchouli stencher and a nice two foot tube:
This brings me to where they were just before they entered the battle for the fairground circuit. Trying to compete with Steve Miller for the ‘magic’ circuit didn’t play too well but payed just fine, yet these guys still rock my world and I wish their music was continued to rock my world with the subtle simplicity of intellectual bliss that these boys offered us back in the day. Here is them dumbed down for moment, although they still hold tight to being elusive, just listen to the words:
Either way, or wonder way, I find that this song means more to me than most. It is a continuation of my wonderment with justified reality. It makes me smile and realize that brains and hearts are needed regardless of how much and how often we try to destroy them:
Raspberrytoast, I put these all up for you. I wanted to do this before, and after you had made mention that you had not heard the boys, I figured that I would put it at easy access for you as they need to be recognized and listened to and I was surprised to know that you had not loved them!
Another post today will come, but this should be reveled in as well.

Thank you for coming by and I am glad that you enjoy these songs as much as I do! I hear them every night on the radio at work as the grocery manager loves to play the radio loud and clasic rock, as well as oldies, stations play them.
It is good to have heard from you. I am sorry that I ahve been away so much as I have been a working fool.
Hey, I am glad you stopped by my blog. I had meant to listen to the vids, but I am always in class when I am at my computer! But when I saw your comment I was all kinds of like now is the time to listen!
I am such a dork. I have totally heard some of those songs before, but I liked the ones I hadn't heard as well. It was maybe the one next to the last one I think???
Many Blogstream members are there

I LOVE these songs and it's been forever since I've heard them......what a gift to hear them! I hope you are well.
Have an awesome day!

I am glad that you liked this post. I did put it up for you so you could know of which you spoke.
I figured you knew most of their songs and that they were already emblazoned in your mind.
I hope the new ones rocked your world and thank you for the compliment regarding the 'D&D' comment.
Be good and smile.
Godspeed.
